    B) Individuals with renal impairment may experience zinc retention since zinc is excreted by the kidneys.

    C) Patients with biliary obstruction may encounter retention of copper and manganese, as these elements are excreted in bile.

    D) Manganese follows a secondary secretory pathway through pancreatic juice, with reabsorption occurring in the duodenum, jejunum, and ileum.

    E) Considering chromium's impact on normal glucose homeostasis, it is essential to evaluate whether the patient has diabetes.

     

    Side Effects:

    Given the low amounts of zinc, copper, manganese, and chromium in the prescribed dose, the likelihood of toxicity symptoms is minimal.

     

    Application precautions:

    Yet, refrain from use without a doctor's prescription. Additionally, when adding this agent to the TPN solution, it is advisable to do so in a laminar flow to uphold sterility.
